JAKARTA, JAKTIMES.COM- Referring to Circular No. 131/2188/OTDA of the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the Proposal to Dismiss Regional Heads and Deputy Regional Heads whose terms of office expire in 2022, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will follow the mechanisms and procedures as well as the rules that have been set.
In accordance with the Circular Letter which mandates the implementation of a plenary meeting with the DKI Jakarta DPRD to propose the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor to the President, attaching the minutes and minutes of the plenary meeting. The implementation of the plenary meeting is intended to submit proposals by the leadership of the DPRD to the President through the Minister of Home Affairs in order to obtain a decision on dismissal.
“We will carry out the process of proposing the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor according to the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Home Affairs. So, we will follow the process according to the applicable procedures,” said Marullah Matali, Regional Secretary of DKI Jakarta Province, on Thursday (1/9).
The proposal for dismissal is submitted to the Minister of Home Affairs at the latest 30 days before the end of the governor/deputy governor’s term of office, so that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will attend a plenary meeting held by the DKI Jakarta DPRD which is expected to be held on 13 September (Wan)
