JAKARTA, JAKTIMES.COM – The Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD DKI) has officially passed the Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) on the 2025 Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P) during a plenary session on Monday (August 4, 2025). What makes this significant is the fact that it was passed much earlier than usual.

“This is special because we completed the Revised Budget in July, and the plenary session was done by early August,” said Jakarta City Council Speaker Khoirudin after the session.

More Time for the Executive to Execute Programs

Khoirudin emphasized that the accelerated timeline provides more time for the executive branch to implement the budgeted programs.

“This is remarkable, and hopefully the public can feel the benefits of this extended period,” he added.

Governor Praises Strong DPRD-Executive Collaboration

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his appreciation for the close collaboration between the legislative and executive bodies during the budget revision process.

“On behalf of the entire executive team, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the leadership and all council members for approving the 2025 Revised Budget regulation,” Pramono said.

He hopes the revised budget will help boost Jakarta’s economic growth while ensuring that all development programs are targeted and impactful.

Jakarta on the Path to Becoming a Prosperous Global City

Pramono also shared his broader hopes for the capital city’s future, saying this budget adjustment aligns with the vision of Jakarta as a competitive, sustainable, and citizen-focused global metropolis.

“May Allah SWT, the Almighty God, continue to guide and bless us in our mission to realize Jakarta as a global city and an economic hub that uplifts all its citizens,” he concluded (Wan).
